Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8 prices just leaked, and your wallet won't be happy

Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked lands July 22, and a WinFuture retailer-source leak has already published what looks like the MSRP floor for the Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8. The numbers trend up, not flat.

The leaked price floor

Per WinFuture, channel pricing for the 256GB tier breaks down: Z Flip 8 at €1,299 (~$1,486), Z Fold 8 at €1,999 (~$2,287), and the new Z Fold 8 Ultra at €2,199 (~$2,516). The Ultra sits above the standard Fold with more RAM and storage — standard Samsung tier structure. Base model sets the entry ticket, Ultra takes the rest of your wallet.

These are European launch figures from retailer sources, not official MSRP. US pricing rarely maps cleanly to euro conversions. Treat the dollar equivalents as directional, not a quote. Samsung also pads US storage tiers before pricing, which pushes real entry cost above any converted headline.

What actually moves the needle

Two details matter beyond the sticker. First, the Fold 8 is tipped to ship with a wider cover display — the narrow typing surface has been the line's biggest ergonomic complaint for years. If it lands, that's a real quality-of-life fix, not a spec-sheet flex. Second, component costs — particularly memory — are climbing industry-wide. That gives Samsung cover to push MSRP without looking greedy. The leaked numbers reflect that pressure.

The same leak pegs Watch 9 at €409 (~$468) for the 40mm Bluetooth, up to €489 (~$560) for the LTE 44mm. Watch Ultra 2 LTE lands at €749 (~$857). The smartwatch tier isn't where the value lives.

When to click buy

Official pricing drops July 22. Hold the line until then — pre-orders against a leak are bets against your own wallet. Post-launch, the realistic discount window on Samsung foldables historically opens around the 90-day mark, not day one. If you need a device now, the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will see depreciation the moment the keynote ends — that's where the actual historical lows form. If you're locked on the Fold 8 specifically, skip the first wave, skip the first trade-in promo, and reassess at the 60-day point when Samsung's own channel typically starts running bundle credits to clear inventory expectations.
