The lineup is positioned around "Gemini Intelligence" AI features. Pre-event Amazon listings, captured by TechRadar before removal, have already disclosed base pricing, storage tiers, and battery capacities for all four Pixel 11 models.
Pricing structure shifts
The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899, matching the prior 256GB Pixel 10 launch price. Google has reportedly dropped the 128GB storage tier across the series, pushing 256GB to base. The Pixel 11 Pro lands at $1,099, unchanged from its predecessor's 256GB entry point. The Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold carry $100 increases over their Pixel 10 counterparts, at $1,299 and $1,899 respectively. CNET attributes the premium-tier hikes to the ongoing memory shortage. Caveat: TechRadar notes the deleted listings referenced Android 16, while the devices are expected to ship with Android 17, a discrepancy that puts listing authenticity in question.
Hardware: upgrades offset by downgrades
Leaked spec sheets show several regressions. The Pixel 11 Pro drops to 12GB of RAM, down from 16GB in the Pixel 10 Pro. The Pixel 11 Pro XL battery shrinks to 5,115mAh from 5,200mAh. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold battery falls to 4,750mAh from 5,015mAh. The standard Pixel 11 gains 15mAh to 4,985mAh, an effectively negligible delta. Display dimensions remain close to predecessors: 6.3 inches on the Pixel 11 and Pro, 6.8 inches on the Pro XL, and a 6.4-inch outer panel on the Pro Fold (one listing shows 6.5 inches). The base Pixel 11 panel is listed at 1080 x 2424 resolution. RAM splits between storage tiers: 12GB on 256GB models, 16GB on higher configurations for the Pro XL and Pro Fold.
Design and availability
Chassis design appears nearly identical to the Pixel 10 generation, per leaked CAD renders. The visible change is "Pixel Glow," an LED array outlining the camera module. New colorways surfaced in the leak: Midnight, Fuchsia, and Moss for the base Pixel 11; Dune, Sterling, Pine, and Light Fog for the Pro and Pro XL; Midnight and Pine only for the Pro Fold. Bezels are reportedly marginally thinner, with an all-black camera bar on the standard model. Availability is expected within weeks of the August 12 announcement; last year's Pixel 10 shipped in late August, with the Pro Fold following in October.
The data shows mixed signals. Storage and pricing improvements at the base tier are offset by battery and RAM regressions on Pro models. Verdict: skip preorders until independent benchmarks confirm sustained performance under thermal load. The Pixel 11 base model is the safer bet on paper. The Pro XL and Fold require further testing before commitment.
